Alexis Moore, PsyD

Dr. Alexis Moore (she/her) is a clinical psychologist licensed in the state of California (PSY34337). She has expertise in individualized, evidence-based therapy for adults and couples, including those experiencing challenges related to trauma, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, perfectionism, stress/burnout, and interpersonal relationships.

Dr. Moore has advanced training in a variety of gold standard treatments including: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for anxiety and sleep concerns, exposure and response prevention (ERP) for OCD, and trauma therapies such as cognitive processing therapy (CPT), prolonged exposure (PE), written exposure therapy (WET), and eye movement desensitization reprocessing (EMDR). She also works with couples, offering integrative behavioral couple therapy (IBCT).

Dr. Moore believes meaningful change occurs within a safe therapeutic space, and she aims to cultivate such a space with a therapeutic style that is genuine, warm, and collaborative, and a dedication to providing culturally-attuned and strengths-based care. Her goal is to pair effective interventions with individualized treatment adaptations, ensuring that her clients receive the personalized care they need and deserve.

In Dr. Moore’s View

“I believe in the human capacity for change and connection. Together, I hope that we can bravely approach your healing and growth. I am often humbled and inspired by my clients, particularly by their vulnerability in bringing their whole self into the therapy room — sharing their lived experiences, their narratives, cultures, identities, and struggles.

As a therapist, I take an active approach, guiding you toward understanding and acceptance of where you are in the present and the factors that have contributed to your challenges, and then helping you step closer to your values and where you want to be. We learn best by doing, so when we challenge ourselves to engage in new experiences and behaviors, we often will gain new perspectives. Connection is incredibly important in all that we do, and I strive to bring that humanness into the therapeutic relationship. Aligned with this goal, I hope to offer validation and understanding for your experiences, compassion and non-judgement for the stuckness, and levity and celebration for your wins.”
